What is Transportation Engineering?
Transportation Engineering is a specific branch of physical environmental Civil Engineering deals with planning, design, operation, and maintenance of safe and efficient transportation systems. The systems include Road transport system, Railway transport system, Water transport system, Air transport system, Pipeline transport system.
Transportation Engineering Branches:
1-Road Transport System: Highway/Roads is a branch of transportation engineering that deals with Planning,
Design & Construction of Highway/Roads systems, urban streets, parking

2-Railway Transport System: Railway Transport
system is a branch of transportation engineering that deals with Planning,

3-Water Transport System: Water Transport
system is a branch of transportation engineering that deals with Planning,
Design Construction & operation of ports, harbor freight, canals, and

4-Air Transport System: Air transport is a
branch of transportation engineering that deals with Planning, Design
Construction & maintenance of Airports, terminals, runways & provide passenger, and
