Estimation of Brickwork:
Brickwork is measured in cubic meters and square
meters according to the width of the wall. In brickwork,
twenty-five to thirty percent of a concrete mixture is considered.
Example: Calculate
construction materials, water, manpower, Time, & Price for a
brick wall that is 10 meters long, 0.35 meters wide, and 2.50 meters high.
Note: the size of a brick 11
x 7 x 23 cm, And the Concrete mix ratio for mortar is 1:6.
More information
about construction site location:
The price
of one Brick: 0.05 USD.
The price
of one cubic Sand is 6.4 USD.
The price
of 1 bag of Cement is 4.5 USD.
The price
of one liter of water is 0.01 USD.
Wage for
Unskilled labor, 5 USD
Wage
Skilled labor 13 USD
Solutions:
Step 1:
Calculation of Construction Materials (Brick, Sand, Cement):
Total
Volume of Brick Wall (V) => V= Length x Width x Hight = 10 x 0.35 x 2.5 = 8.75
CuM.
Concrete
Mixture (V1) => V1= (25% x V) = (25% x 8.75) = 2.187 Cubic Meter.
Mark Ratio
is: 1:6, 1+6=7
Total
Cement: 2.187/7 x 1 = 0.312 Cum = 0.312 x 1440
(Cement Density) = 449.24 Kgr,
1 Bag Cement = 50 Krg, So 449.24/50 = 8.98 = 9 Big Cement.
Total
Sand: 2.187/7 x 6 = 1.87 Cum Sand
Total
Brick (V2) => V2=V-V1= 8.75 – 2.187 = 6.563 Cu Meter.
One Brick
Volume= 0.11 x 0.07 x 0,23 = 0.00177
Total
Bricks = 6.563/0.00177 = 3,708 Bricks + 5% damages = 3708 + 185 = 3893
Bricks.
Step 2:
Calculation of manpower (Skilled & Unskilled labor):
Skilled
Labor for 1 Cum = 0.5 MD
Unskilled Labor for 1 Cum = 1.45 MD
Total
Skilled Labor = 8.75 x 0.5 = 4.3 Skilled Labor
Total
Unskilled labor = 8.75 x 1.45 = 12.68 Unskilled labor
Step 3:
Time Calculation:
If you
want to complete this work in 2 days (Skilled Labor 4.3/2 = 2.15, Unskilled
Labor 12.68/2 = 6.34)
If you
want to complete this work in 4 days (Skilled labor 4.3/4 = 1.1, Unskilled
labor 12.68/3 = 4.22 MD)
Step 4: Calculation
of Water:
Water for
Mortar = 45 Lit/Cum, 8.75 x 45 = 394 Liter
Step 5:
Calculation of Price:
